Are we not slaves to the technology we mastered?
I have 983 friends, yet I feel lonely, I speak to all of them everyday yet none of them really know me. The problem I have sits in the space between looking into their eyes and looking at the name on the screen, I realize that this media we call social is anything but when we open our computers and shut our doors
All technology we have, is just an illusion, a sense of illusion yet when we step away from this device of fantasy you awaken to see a different world a world of confusion.
A world where we are slaves to the technology we mastered where information get sold by some rich greedy bastard. A world of self interest, self image, self promotion, where we all share our best bits but leave out the emotion
Be there for your friends and they will be there too, no one will be if group message will do, we edit and exaggerate. We pretend not to notice social isolation we put words in other until our live re glistening we don't even know if anyone is listening.
Being alone is not the problem for instance if you read a book, paint a picture or do some exercises, you're being productive and present not recluse, am also a victim of this word(recluse), you're not being awaken and attentive, you not even putting time into good use. When you re in public all you do is put your hands into you pocket and pick this device of delusion* and face down staring at your friend list or contact list when you could actually co-exist with real things around you. Learn to talk to one another, learn to coexist.
We are becoming unsocial, it no longer satisfies to engage with one another and look into someone's eyes. we're all surrounded by children who now seems all this are norm. You will still make the greatest dad if you don't entertain kid with iPads.
I remember being a kid I had this group of friends who I often play, talk and even go places with yea, I did remember vividly going to one ugwu nso(holy hill) which as a child call falling falling place, climbing trees did lot of things just to chill. See now no children outside, no play, no talk, just smart phone A generation of smart phone.
Look up from your smart phone coexist with people around you, just one engagement is all it can take.
Be there in a moment when she give you the look you remember forever as when love overtook
You won't remember the time you don't have to tell hundred of what you have not done
The time you consumed without any vital production
How glad you would be if you didn't waste it by giving it to an invention .
Go out there make real friends that you could say to and look into their and lay a kiss in their forehead. Don't waste your time being in the net, surfing. I'm guilty of this digital world we have heard but have not seen. Where we type as we talk and read as we chat, where we spend hours together without making eye contact. Give people your love don't give them your like.
